The first 2-mile segment of the legendary 11-mile Kalalau Trail leads to Hanakapi'ai Beach — a remote, rugged strand backed by sea cliffs. The trail hugs the coastline with jaw-dropping views of the Na Pali cliffs the entire way. It is one of the most scenic short hikes in the world.
Tip: Ha'ena State Park entry reservations are required. Bring water and wear sturdy shoes — the trail is rocky and slippery when wet. Stream crossings can be dangerous after rain.
