A natural lava rock pool on Kauai's north shore, fed by ocean waves crashing over the reef shelf. When conditions are calm (summer only), the pool is a stunning natural swimming hole with crystal-clear water and tropical fish. The short but steep jungle trail down to the coast is an adventure in itself.
Tip: Only visit in summer when the ocean is calm — winter waves are life-threatening here. The trail is slippery and has exposed roots. Check conditions before going.
