James Michener called it the most beautiful beach in the non-tropical Pacific, and it's hard to disagree. This crescent of grey-sand beach backed by lush jungle cliffs near Hana feels truly remote and unspoiled. The half-moon bay creates good swimming conditions, and the dramatic setting is unlike any other beach in Hawaii.
Tip: Worth the long drive if you're already doing the Road to Hana. Go early before the Hotel Hana shuttles bring guests. The beach has showers and restrooms.
