On Maui's rugged northwest coast, ocean swells force water through a lava tube that shoots 100 feet into the air. The short hike down the hillside to the blowhole passes a natural heart-shaped rock formation that has become one of Maui's most photographed spots.
Tip: Stay behind the ropes — the blowhole is extremely dangerous up close. The trail is steep and slippery; wear proper shoes.
