How you earn
Three things stack: a per-booking commission, a per-property monthly cap, and a first-conversion starter bonus. All paid on the rental price (not on taxes or insurance). Lifetime attribution — every future trip your guest takes pays you too.
Per booking
On every rental your guest books through your link. Paid on the rental price (not taxes or insurance). Per-booking commission is capped at $50.
5-day rental at $125/day → 10% of $625 = $62.50 in your account.
Per property, per month
Monthly cap per property. About 10 qualifying bookings a month maxes the cap. Multiple properties? Stack them — the cap is per property, not per host.
10 bookings at the per-booking cap → $500/month per Airbnb you operate.
First-guest bonus (Founding 100)
For the first 100 hosts: when your very first referred guest completes a ReefRide trip, $50 lands in your pending balance. One-time. Settles weekly with everything else.
Send the link to a guest checking in Friday. They book. $50 settles the next Monday.

What your cleaner needs to sign up
Your cleaner keeps 80% of every rental on their car (the Balanced protection plan). Most cars on the site earn $1,200–$2,500 a month for the owner. You get your 10% commission on every guest you refer to the platform — including bookings on this car — without doing the driving, the cleaning, or the keys. And you earn on the car you sponsor: 5% of every booking on that car, week after week, while it stays listed in good standing and you remain an active Home Host.

Common questions
Is this legal in Hawaii?
Yes. We follow Hawaii’s peer-to-peer car-sharing rules. We collect Hawaii’s general excise tax, the state’s rental car surcharge, and the airport fee on every booking — you don’t have to.
Am I on the hook if the cleaner’s car gets damaged?
No. Our protection plan (ReefShield) covers damage to the car. The cleaner’s own insurance covers accidents on the road. You don’t have any liability as a property host.
What if my cleaner doesn’t have a car that qualifies?
We work with Maui dealers who finance cars for ReefRide drivers. The rental income often pays the loan. Hasan can introduce you on the webinar.
When does the money show up?
Every Monday. The commission is unlocked 24 hours after each trip ends, and we batch the deposits to your bank weekly through Stripe.
Is there a cap?
No caps — as of July 2026 you earn 10% of every referred booking, uncapped, with lifetime attribution: every future trip your guest takes pays you, for life. Sponsor a Car Host (your cleaner, a friend) and you also earn 5% of every booking on their car — uncapped. The car commission keeps paying while the car stays listed in good standing and you remain an active Home Host.
What's the bonus structure?
Two bonuses: a $25 bonus when your very first referred guest books their first trip, and a $100/$50 stack — invite another property host, get $100 when their first guest books (they get $50). Up to 25 paid invites a year.
Can I sign up more than one cleaner?
Yes, as many as you want. They each earn from their own car at 80% (Balanced plan) or 70/90% on the other tiers. You earn your 5% on every guest you refer to ReefRide — including guests who pick the cars your cleaners list.
What if my guest picks a different car than my cleaner’s?
You still get the 10% commission on the rental. The cleaner who listed the car your guest actually picked gets paid by the platform on their own protection-plan tier. Everyone gets paid.
Can I still use Turo and Hertz with my guests?
Yes. We’re not exclusive. Refer to whoever you want. We just think this pays you more, especially over time.
